Plan a Hemkund Sahib yatra vehicle to Govindghat with a private driver, starting from an agreed Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi Airport or other North India location. B.K Tour & Travel provides the road journey to the confirmed accessible Govindghat endpoint in Uttarakhand, with driver waiting and return travel discussed in advance.

Beyond the road endpoint, pilgrims continue through the Ghangaria area toward Gurdwara Sri Hemkund Sahib. The high-altitude mountain route, local shuttles, guides and other onward arrangements are separate from the driver-operated road service.

2026 season update — checked 9 October 2026: The Hemkund Sahib Management Trust announced closure on 10 October 2026, reported by Garhwal Post. Reconfirm official shrine status, the next season’s opening and actual road access before committing to travel.

The agreed car or group vehicle takes you by road to a permitted Govindghat drop-off in Chamoli district. This is the boundary of the standard B.K Tour & Travel service. We do not promise that a road vehicle can drive to Ghangaria or Hemkund Sahib.

Local road rules, parking restrictions, seasonal closures and any permitted local shuttle determine the practical handover. The precise drop-off and return meeting point must be agreed in the quotation and rechecked closer to travel. See Uttarakhand Tourism’s Hemkund Sahib guide for official destination information.

Your private driver handles the agreed road journey. A different local transfer may be required to reach the currently permitted walking-route start. Check local authorities before assuming a shuttle, pony or other transport is available.

Ghangaria is an onward mountain base used by pilgrims to Hemkund Sahib and visitors to Valley of Flowers. Mountain lodging, the walking route and any assistance need independent arrangements. Do not treat Ghangaria as an ordinary road destination for a tour car.

Hemkund Sahib is a high-altitude gurdwara beside a mountain lake. Plan the onward climb and return according to official access restrictions and your group’s needs; arrange an agreed Govindghat meeting day with the driver rather than assuming a short same-day return.

Journeys may be discussed from Nawanshahr, Chandigarh, Mohali, Amritsar, Delhi Airport or another agreed North India pickup. Some routes approach the Govindghat–Joshimath area through Haridwar or Rishikesh, but exact road stages, rest breaks and overnight stops depend on traffic, weather and driver duty requirements.

Our Punjab to Uttarakhand tour vehicle covers the general road journey. If you also want pilgrimage sightseeing in Haridwar or Rishikesh, discuss that separately using our Haridwar and Rishikesh pilgrimage route.

Hemkund Sahib does not operate as an all-season shrine. The 2026 season is scheduled to close on 10 October 2026 according to the Hemkund Sahib Management Trust announcement. A motorable road does not mean the gurdwara or high-altitude trail is open. Official season dates change each year.

Uttarakhand Tourism operates an official Tourist Care portal for Hemkund Sahib yatra registration. Pilgrims must check and complete currently applicable registration and verification steps, carry the required documents and follow local trekking and weather advisories. B.K Tour & Travel does not arrange government yatra registration, provide helicopter bookings or guarantee mountain access.

A Badrinath road extension may be considered only when the temple and road are accessible and extra driving, rest, overnight stays and costs have been agreed. For its separate pilgrimage intent, see our Kedarnath and Badrinath vehicle service.

Valley of Flowers National Park is not a drive-up addition to the Hemkund road vehicle. It requires its own mountain walk, entry arrangements and seasonal checks from the Ghangaria area. See Uttarakhand Tourism’s Valley of Flowers information before arranging the additional experience.

Send the full pickup and final drop-off, travel dates, number of passengers, bags, suitable vehicle type, expected days at the Govindghat base and confirmed return plans. An Innova Crysta, car, Force Urbania or Tempo Traveller can be discussed subject to the exact road and vehicle availability.

Driver waiting or return collection must be included in the agreed quotation. Fuel, tolls and vehicle permits are included; parking, driver and customer meals and applicable green taxes are extra. Trekking, local shuttles, helicopters, registration, hotels and guides are not included. A 25% advance confirms the agreed booking.

Can a private vehicle drive directly to Hemkund Sahib Gurdwara?

No. Our vehicle goes only to the agreed permitted road endpoint at Govindghat. The onward mountain pilgrimage through the Ghangaria area cannot be completed in a normal private tour car and must be arranged separately.

Where exactly does the car drop us off for Hemkund Sahib?

The booking specifies an accessible Govindghat road drop-off and return meeting point. Local restrictions or a permitted shuttle may change where the vehicle can stop. Reconfirm the final handover point near the travel date.

How do we go from Govindghat to Ghangaria?

Ghangaria is an onward base reached by the currently permitted trekking and local access arrangements from the Govindghat area. Check official and local guidance for any approved shuttle, trail or assisted option; none is included automatically with B.K road transport.

Can the driver take us to Ghangaria or the Hemkund Sahib lake?

No. The Ghangaria and Hemkund Sahib journey goes beyond the standard accessible road route for the hired vehicle. The driver does not act as a trekking guide or carry passengers up the mountain.

Do you book helicopters, ponies, palkis or porters?

No. These are separate services offered, when available, by their respective authorised providers. Check the current rules and availability independently; a vehicle quote does not secure onward seats or assistance.

Is Hemkund Sahib yatra registration required?

The Uttarakhand Tourist Care registration portal lists Hemkund Sahib and states registration requirements. Check and complete the official process for your actual yatra dates. Registrations, QR documents and verification are not provided as part of the vehicle booking.

Is Hemkund Sahib open in October 2026?

The management trust announced 10 October 2026 as the closing date of the 2026 pilgrimage season, according to reporting dated 10 August. The gurdwara closes in winter, so verify actual status and the next season's dates with official authorities before planning travel.

Can we start from Punjab, Chandigarh or Delhi Airport?

You can request a road vehicle with driver from Nawanshahr, Chandigarh, Mohali, Amritsar, Delhi Airport or another agreed North India point. Provide exact pickup and drop-off addresses, dates, group and baggage details for an availability check and quote.

Does the road journey pass through Haridwar and Rishikesh?

Many Govindghat routes approach the Garhwal hills via Haridwar or Rishikesh and the Joshimath area. Your exact route and overnight breaks depend on pickup, road conditions and driver rest. Sightseeing in those towns must be agreed separately.

Can the driver wait at Govindghat until we return from the yatra?

Waiting or returning on a later day can be discussed. Share expected onward trekking days, accommodations, group return date and a meeting location, so driver duty, rest and waiting charges can be agreed before booking.

Can we add Badrinath to the trip?

Badrinath may be added as a separate road destination if seasonal road and temple access allow it. The extra stops, days, accommodation and vehicle costs must be agreed; it is not included automatically in a Govindghat road transfer.

Is Valley of Flowers included in this vehicle service?

No. Valley of Flowers is a separate protected trekking destination reached from the Ghangaria area. Its seasonal opening, permits, admission and trail arrangements are not part of B.K Tour & Travel's vehicle-only service.

How many days does Hemkund Sahib yatra take?

The answer depends on your starting point, the road journey, onward walking schedule, weather, yatra conditions and the group's circumstances. We do not promise a same-day mountain pilgrimage or fixed travel durations. Provide your intended return date when requesting a quote.

Can older people or children do the Hemkund Sahib trek?

This is a demanding high-altitude pilgrimage that is separate from our vehicle service. Read the relevant official safety requirements and obtain appropriate individual professional advice before deciding; vehicle comfort does not guarantee mountain accessibility.

What is included in the Govindghat road vehicle price?

Fuel, tolls and vehicle permits are included in the agreed road quote. Parking, passenger and driver meals and applicable green taxes are extra. Registration, hotels, trekking support, shuttles, helicopters and optional guides are separate. A 25% advance confirms the agreed booking.

Can I reserve a vehicle before next season's opening dates are announced?

You may enquire about provisional dates, but the road journey and actual yatra must be planned around future official opening notices, access rules and weather. Ask for the vehicle booking terms before confirming any season-dependent plans.

Tell us your pickup, travel season, group and luggage size, expected Govindghat arrival, onward yatra days and agreed return or onward drop. We can discuss a suitable road vehicle and the transport boundary before you confirm.
