Book a Dera Baba Nanak tour vehicle with driver for a respectful visit to Sikh heritage sites in Punjab, India. B.K Tour & Travel can discuss an agreed pickup in Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Punjab or another suitable North India location, with time for darshan at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib and Gurdwara Sri Chola Sahib.

This is an Indian-side pilgrimage and private road transport service, not an international Kartarpur Corridor package. Share your pickup, travel date, number of passengers and preferred local stops, and we will plan a practical route.

Current travel notice (checked 8 October 2026): The Ministry of Home Affairs Kartarpur portal says the Kartarpur Corridor is suspended until further directions. Indian-side site visits are separate. Recheck official notices before travel.

Dera Baba Nanak is a historic town in Gurdaspur district, near the River Ravi and the international border. Its Sikh heritage is linked with Guru Nanak Dev Ji and his family. Visitors can arrange a prayer-focused visit to local gurdwaras without treating the town solely as a gateway to Pakistan.

The town of Kartarpur and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur lie on the Pakistan side. Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib at Dera Baba Nanak is a different, Indian shrine. The distinction matters when discussing places to visit, official crossing rules and where your driver can travel.

For destination context, see Incredible India’s Dera Baba Nanak visitor guide and the Gurdaspur district historical tourist places gallery.

A principal historic gurdwara for visitors arriving at Dera Baba Nanak. It is recorded in the SGPC managed-gurdwara directory. Allow unhurried time for prayer and follow local instructions for head covering, footwear and entry. Do not confuse it with the similarly named Gurdwara in Kartarpur, Pakistan.

Another important Indian-side gurdwara closely associated with Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Gurdaspur district government lists Chola Sahib among its historical tourist sites. Your driver can help coordinate the agreed road stops, but local traffic, parking and walking arrangements are managed on the ground.

Travellers interested in the wider Gurdaspur and Batala district heritage can ask whether connected sites are feasible in a longer plan. Choose stops according to your family’s interests and real driving time rather than assuming a fixed circuit or access to controlled border facilities.

As checked on 8 October 2026, Kartarpur Corridor services are suspended until further directions. This is the statement on the Government of India’s official Ministry of Home Affairs Kartarpur Sahib portal. An online registration or status page does not override the suspension notice.

When open, the corridor is a regulated international passage linking India with Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan. It is not an extension of a domestic taxi route. Our driver will not enter Pakistan, and B.K Tour & Travel does not issue entry authorisations, submit corridor applications, process passports or visas, or guarantee access to border viewing points.

Local Dera Baba Nanak gurdwara visits can be discussed as a separate Indian-side journey, subject to site and security arrangements. Recheck the ministry announcement for the intended day of travel; an official status can change after this update.

Customers frequently plan a Dera Baba Nanak visit from Amritsar, or make it part of a wider Sikh heritage journey. Ask us about an Amritsar to Dera Baba Nanak vehicle with driver, with pickup from an agreed hotel, airport or other location and drop-off at an agreed Indian address. A fixed taxi fare, vehicle dispatch point and journey time cannot be assumed before the booking is reviewed.

For an Amritsar city pilgrimage on a separate or extended itinerary, see our Amritsar Golden Temple and Sikh heritage vehicle guide. For broader journeys departing Amritsar, refer to Amritsar to North India tour vehicles. You can also enquire from Gurdaspur, Batala, Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Mohali or another suitable North India location if the vehicle positioning can be agreed.

Ask for a comfortable amount of time at Sri Darbar Sahib and Chola Sahib. Real-world factors include arrival time, crowds, parking, walking pace, meal breaks, seasonal weather and any temporary local instructions.

B.K Tour & Travel can discuss a car, Innova Crysta, Force Urbania, Tempo Traveller or group vehicle with driver depending on your passengers, luggage, route and date. Drivers normally speak Punjabi and Hindi; an English-speaking guide is optional and quoted separately.

To prepare an accurate quote, tell us the complete pickup and drop-off addresses, date, group and luggage size, number of stops, likely waiting and any elderly travellers’ mobility needs. We do not claim a physical branch or fleet depot in Dera Baba Nanak.

Quote inclusions: fuel, tolls and vehicle permits are included in the agreed vehicle quotation. Parking, customer meals, driver meals and applicable green taxes are extra. Hotel bookings, entry tickets and cross-border formalities are not included. A 25% advance confirms an agreed booking. For more about vehicle hire see private vehicle with driver, and for the broader topic browse Pilgrimage Travel.

Is the Kartarpur Corridor open on 8 October 2026?

No. On 8 October 2026, the Government of India’s Ministry of Home Affairs portal stated that services of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor are suspended until further directions. Check the official portal again for your actual travel date; the presence of an online application button does not mean the crossing is operating.

Can I still visit Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib and Chola Sahib in Dera Baba Nanak?

Yes, an Indian-side Dera Baba Nanak visit is a separate journey from crossing the border. Local gurdwara access, road restrictions, religious programmes and special security arrangements should be reconfirmed closer to your visit. We can discuss a vehicle and driver for the Indian sites.

Are Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Dera Baba Nanak and Kartarpur Sahib the same place?

No. Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib in Dera Baba Nanak is in Punjab, India. Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur is in Narowal district, Pakistan, across the international border. They are different locations even though the names sound similar.

Can your driver take us through the corridor into Pakistan?

No. B.K Tour & Travel only arranges the agreed Indian road-vehicle journey. We do not provide Pakistani vehicles, immigration clearance, passport or visa services, Kartarpur registration, or any guaranteed border entry.

Can you arrange a Dera Baba Nanak taxi or private car from Amritsar?

You can request an Amritsar pickup and a Dera Baba Nanak private vehicle with driver. Share your exact hotel, airport or other pickup point, dates and return point. Vehicle availability and positioning are confirmed with your quotation; we do not claim a permanently stationed Amritsar fleet for every date.

Is Dera Baba Nanak suitable for a day trip from Amritsar?

A local visit may be planned as a day journey if the pickup location, selected shrines, travel conditions, prayer time and group pace allow it. We do not promise a universal journey duration or that an international crossing can be added to the same day.

How much does the Dera Baba Nanak vehicle cost?

There is no published fixed fare. The quote depends on pickup and return addresses, date, vehicle, passenger and luggage count, duration, stops and waiting. Fuel, tolls and vehicle permits are included in the agreed quote; parking, meals and applicable green taxes are separate. The booking advance is 25%.

Do I need a passport to visit Dera Baba Nanak on the Indian side?

A visit to Indian-side public pilgrimage sites is different from international travel through the corridor. Do not assume that the corridor’s passport and registration rules apply to the local shrine visit. Carry suitable identification for your domestic journey and follow any locally announced security checks; for future border crossing requirements consult the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Can elderly family members and groups travel comfortably?

Share the number of travellers, baggage, vehicle boarding needs, walking pace and preferred rest stops. We can discuss a suitable Innova Crysta, Force Urbania, Tempo Traveller or other available vehicle with driver. Access arrangements inside religious or border-area premises remain subject to the venue and authorities.

What is the difference between the Dera Baba Nanak road visit and the Kartarpur Corridor?

The Dera Baba Nanak road visit stays within India. The Kartarpur Corridor is an international passage to a different gurdwara in Pakistan and is governed by official border rules. B.K Tour & Travel does not provide border passage or immigration services.

Can we visit Dera Baba Nanak and Amritsar's Golden Temple over multiple days?

You can request both places with an appropriate route, pickup, overnight plan and driver rest. Confirm which gurdwaras are essential and which day you want to visit each.

Are there any separate charges besides the driver-operated vehicle?

Fuel, tolls and permits are included in the agreed quote. Parking, passenger and driver meals and applicable green taxes are extra. Hotels, guides and any independently required admissions or official formalities are separate.

Tell us where you want the vehicle to start, your date, passenger and bag counts, whether you want Sri Darbar Sahib, Chola Sahib or both, and your final Indian-side drop-off. We’ll discuss an appropriate private vehicle, driver time and route before you book.

Call +91 77339 25000 or complete our quote form. We do not advertise corridor crossing services or promise admission through an international border.
